Remake of the german movie Das Experiment which was based on real events. Film is about behavioral experiment where 26 men are put to prison like surrounding. Some are assigned as guards and rest as prisoners.

There are few rules that must be followed or experiment will end and no one will get paid. Prisoner unable to follow the rules must be diciplined. It start with pushups and mental abuse, followed by physical abuse and violence.

Forest Whittaker does yet another good psycho role, Adrien Brody is your everyman and pretty good at it. Interesting movie that makes the point that underneath all this civilization we all are nothing but the beasts.
