Review of The Experiment (2010) by Adam K — 09 Apr 2011
Now that's what I call a horror film! Man oh man. I can't speak to the film's historical accuracy. My guess is that there are some "what ifs" here, that the film takes the liberty of exploring.
But the psychological accuracy of the piece, does feel quite "on". And this is saying a lot for a piece that covers such a stark range of character expressions, within such a short span of time.
This psychological accuracy is arguably the most important thing within a dramatic work such as this. As long as the audience can follow and identify-with the character's thought/decision process - truth is uncovered.
And the truth about animals is far from a pretty one. The human animal, certainly being no exception.
