Review of The Experiment (2010) by Matthew M — 08 Jul 2011
The Experiment is completely abysmal and unashamedly ignorant. The director cannot legitmately believe the viewer is going to buy into this crap. The way Forest Whitaker's character just assumes control is laughable.
People just allow him to do so. Actually, it's more than that. They embrace him taking control. It really is laughable. The film starts out stupid, and sprials into further stupidity before peaking at absolute, unequivocal stupidity.
Perhaps the most ridiculous thing (the thing I couldn't get my head around) is if everyone in the building sat tight, they could all walk away fourteen days later with 14k in their pockets. But then I suppose there would have been no premise for a movie.
.. Wouldn't that be a pity? And diabetic's are treated like second class citizens! It's a turgid, wretched mess.
