Review of The Experiment (2010) by Ana G — 15 Sep 2010
A very Well crafted, Well-thought-out Suspense thriller that needs to be seen. Starring Forrest Whitaker in his best role since Last King of Scotland, and Adrian Brody in his best role since The Pianist proving why they both are deserved of A Best Actor award. Couple that with great writing, and a very vulnerable supporting cast in roles-all of which they fit beautifully, and you have the best movie you've never heard about of the year.
What movies like the dreadful Chaos Experiment and Killing Room both fail to master in their equally awful like-minded human testing is that you aren't drawn to the characters, and you are just as much of a voyeur as the testers. Here, in THE EXPERIMENT, you put yourself in the minds of the characters, and try to determine their flaws as if they were your own. This is the ultimate What would you do? movie. And you have to see it. Granted, it is brutal in parts, and very grim, but man is it good.
