Review of The Expendables 3 (2014) by Tom B — 09 Sep 2014
I was never a fan of these Expendable movies. Part III is no better than Part One and Part Two. It's an all muscle and no brainer action movie with everyone's childhood heroes attempting to rekindle a flame that went out twenty years ago.
Schwarzenegger is always fun to see again, but you can't take anything he says seriously because his line delivery is awful. Harrison Ford seems to be struggling with his small role in the movie. Wesley Snipes pretends he never stopped playing an action hero and Antonio Banderas thinks that Puss In Boots from Shrek is a better character to imitate - instead of Desperado or Zorro.
Stallone and Statham never change and I can't say anything bad about Mel Gibson because he's always been one of my favorite actors who never lost his charm. Overall, lots of explosions and gunshots shrouded over with two hours of unoriginally.
