Review of The Expendables 3 (2014) by Mostafa E — 24 Oct 2014
The Expendables 3 boasts some welcome additions to the ageing ensemble - a self-referential Wesley Snipes; an amusingly manic Antonio Banderas; and Harrison Ford, by now graduating to a sort of John Wayne status.
Mel Gibson is also in tow playing an effectively slimy bad guy. Pity then the film is so poorly paced and all too often tedious, with action that is mostly mind numbing when it does come around, and a plot that well is as paper thin as it is predictable.
