Review of The Expendables 3 (2014) by Jake S — 29 Nov 2014
What can I say? The chemistry is predictably awkward, but the story is adequate and there's some pretty good action. Mel Gibson makes a better villain than a hero. Kelsey Grammar's presence in the movie is strange, as he's never been known for roles in action movies.
There are a few nods to some previous movies that the actors have been in, Schwarzenegger's being the best by far. The Expendables series has never been the satisfying collaboration that I was hoping for, but it is a mild guilty pleasure.
