Review of The Expendables 3 (2014) by Hm F — 25 Dec 2014
Much improved from the previous two, mostly due to the current cast mix. Maybe its just personal taste, but the addition of Snipes and Banderas to the team and Mel Gibson as the baddie make a huge difference the potential rewatch value of this movie.
The plot is good enough, Barney stows the old team and puts together a new one, who almost make the cut. Gibson relishes his role with great delight and Snipes adds equal lethal class to the team. For once, all three major action sequences are rock solid.
Its a shame it crashed at the box office, as Sly finally got the formula right for these movies.
