It's more action, more stars, but it doesn't really improve on anything. Sometimes it tries too hard, other times it doesn't try hard enough. It retreads itself, in ways it doesn't even stand apart from either of the previous installments.
In the end, you get what you came for, but you can't help but wish for it to be better.
