Review of The Expendables (2000) by Phillip D — 12 Jun 2014
The Expendables is a fantastic start to what will likely end up being one of great hallowed action franchises of all time. Although critics seem to think that Stallone and his crew somehow owe us some sort of deep, philosophical type movie, anyone with a brain knows that the only thing anyone wants to see here is things exploding.
And explode they do! Stallone takes an all star action cast, a host of ridiculously large weapons and an insurmountable enemy and blends it all together in a hilarious and entertaining weapons fest that is entertaining until the very end.
The Expendables is funny, exciting, fresh and allows us to relive the glory days of a host of top notch action stars. Take if for what it is folks.
