It's the essence of stupid fun. Having some background with the big 80s action movies that it harkens back to (Cobra, Commando, Terminator, Predator, Bloodsport, Kickfigher) obviously makes the throwaway lines all the funnier.
Stallone is solid in the lead, and Statham is a terrific sidekick, but Arnold's action flick days are clearly behind him. Simon West's directing is decent, but it feels a little undercooked.
