An improvement over the original's excessiveness in the wrong places, The Expendables 2 is a better self-aware film that boasts its stars almost to a maximum. The plot is still jumpy and the story hardly worth a thought, not to mention the characters, but that's not exactly the point here, is it? There is something quite redeeming from watching Stallone, Van Damme, Schwarzenegger, Lundgren, and Chuck Norris cross into a blazing climax.
