Review of The Exorcist III (1990) by Jim M — 17 Jun 2007
George C. Scott is Lt. Kinderman, a Georgetown cop investigating a series of brutal murders using the same MO as the long dead "Gemini Killer" and shows more and more connections to the local hospital and an exorcism performed 15 years earlier.
Disturbing pyschological horror flick with so many great actors doing there best, great direction by William Peter Blatty, and a chilling atmospher. Scott delivers some great lines (the carp talk with the priest and the meetings with Patient X).
Scott Wilson as Dr. Templton and Nancy Fish as Nurse Allerton both give there roles a needed shotof flavor, and Brad Dourif is truly disturbing as the killer, and his 2 scenes with Scott are among the best filmed and feature some of the best dialogue.
Jason Miller does a good job with a role that was basically thrown in at the last minuter, while Nicol Williamson was given nothing to work with (his was a role forced on Blatty by the studio). Defientitl check this out.
