Review of The Exorcist (1973) by Alli A — 01 Sep 2012
The film still has the power to shock today, most likely due to the fact that it allowed for a whole new belief in possession for many people. The freaky SPFX makeup makes this film is quite terrifying when watching a young girl begin to literally rot in her own body.
Her voice, voice by another woman who chain-smoked and swallowed raw eggs to achieve it. However, the book is definitely worth a read for those who havenâ(TM)t read it or known it was a novel first. The novel is less about frightening and focuses more on the battle of the Reganâ(TM)s soul and the Priestâ(TM)s faith.
