Review of The Exorcist (1973) by Manofthemoon — 11 Jan 2015
It may seem slow to modern audiences, but stick with it for what is. Rightly called a "horror classic". A portrait of the breakdown of a mother and daughter as the child becomes possessed, "The Exorcist" director William Friedkin chose top actors at the top of their game and was rewarded again and again.
Chilling, thought provoking, and still genuinely uncomfortable viewing. One of the best.
