Review of The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) by Kuehnau — 08 Jan 2017
The Exorcism of Emily Rose was inspired by a real world case of possession. The exorcism fails, Emily Rose dies and the priest responsible for the exorcism is charged with multiple charges.
The movie mostly takes place in a court room, with the occasional back or outside courtroom interactions. It is a incredibly fascinating movie that touches based on multiple subjects, such as religion, medical treatment and trust. The movie is slightly a slow burner, there aren't a lot of scares involved with this movie, but then again, that wasn't really entirely the point of the movie to begin with.
