Review of The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) by James H — 20 Aug 2010

Based on true events (or at the court order was. The rest is up to our beliefs weather to believe it was real or not) about a homocide case involving a priest failing to keep a girl alive in his care after attempting to excorcize six demons from her. Although choosing to live through the possession and being known as a saint-like figure for doing so, the priest is put on trial for negligent homocide. ....and strange events happen within the recesses of the trial.

Honestly it's actually rather interesting. This whole plot seems to become rather intriguing the more you watch. It's a decent concept... amusing at best though due to many predictable scares.. and it was a bit slow at first. It starts to get a bit strange when things, good or bad, conveiniently just happen. Oops... that guy got hit by a car. Hey look new peices of evidence from no where! ....... of corse >_>.

The acting.... wasn't the greatest for most of the cast, though the woman who played the victom of the possession did quite well at her role. It was no Linda Hunt but she still gave a few chills here or there.

Interesting though definately could've been better.

I'd say rent it or borrow it from a friend ;).
