Review of The Ex (2006) by Jordan A — 15 Jul 2008
This film is so over-the-top (and not in a good way), and needed a lot of work before making this the final product. The story itself, is good, and Braff, Bateman, and Grodin make the film tolerable, but it is such a mess! There is so much negligible material in this and too much dumb and useless physical harm humor (that only Adam Sandler can pull off!) which just makes this film go from funny to stupid.
It's one to rent, and I completely see why critics and audiences didn't show much love to this one.
