Review of The Evil Dead (1981) by Muzell K — 23 Oct 2012
Still remain's Sam Raimi's 1st success in the horror genre.
The guy got his big noteriety making Bruce Campbell an action/horror movie star battling the undead, ghosts, and the Necrinomicon.
Frights and gory moments are a plenty in this ol' fashioned low-budget 'cabin in the woods' story.
And of course there's always that infamous tree rape scene in the woods.
There's a lot of laughs and a lot of scares throughout the majority of the film.
That's what makes it such a fun ride.
Hard to believe that this is the same guy who would direct the 'Spider-Man' trilogy.
