Review of The Evil Dead (1981) by Matt M — 03 Feb 2013
Shot on 16mm on a very low budget, this film is brimming with creativity and mixes perfectly laughs and thrills. The cinematography is admirably inventive considering the restricted means, and the hand crafted special effects are nothing short of spectacular.
Overall, Raimi's film as well as being very entertaining is also influential if not altogether quintessential.
