Review of The Evil Dead (1981) by Jean-Philippe G — 09 Mar 2013
While 'Evil Dead' may have no taste, it surprisingly has charm and some dark humor laced in that makes it stand out among other horror films. It also has a great background to it, with just a couple of young guys pursuing what they love and filming it no matter what got in their way.
It's a great story to tell in filmmaking classes, even if the film itself will probably never be shown in those same classes. Overall, young filmmakers and horror film fans will enjoy 'Evil Dead'.
The faint of heart and all others will not.
