The Evil Dead is disturbing and delivers a widely original film that gives the right amount of gore, horror, suspense, and comedy.

The story is about five college kids that make an unplanned stopover in an abandon mountain cabin surrounded by impenetrable woods. Once they get settled in the find out there's a door that leads to the basement and in the basement they find a bunch of junk but two major things they found was a boom written in blood and a tape recorder. Once they listen to the message on the tape recorder, demons now have the ability to possess the living. The result of this is some of the most bizarre things you will ever experience.

The 1980's was the beginning of a new decade of movie history, and of course special weren't nearly as good as movies today. So what's there to say about 1981's The Evil Dead? First let me say that for an 80's movie it was pretty narly for the most part of the movie. So you might how is the movie? Is it cheesy? Is it terrible? The Evil Dead has to be one of the best movies I have ever seen especially for a horror movie. Its wickedly brilliant, extremely gruesome and one of the most creative pieces work.

The main Star in this film is Bruce Campbell and was absolutely terrific. Director Sam Raimi has usually made some great work and this has to be his most stunning work in his career.

So in the end The Evil Dead will leave you shaking, disturbed and know what horror should be.
