Review of The Evil Dead (1981) by Christopher P — 12 Apr 2013
One Minute Review:
The original "Evil Dead," at its best, is good trash and campy fun. The film was made on a small budget, yet has enough ingredients to keep most horror fans entertained. The film gets better as it goes on and never overstays its welcome. The characters are dumb, the acting is atrocious, and the plot is stale; however, there's enough horror, dark humor, and minor thrills that make it a passable, quasi-enjoyable horror flick.
Grade: D.
