Definitely a landmark horror film - so much gore! Probably should have watched this before 'Cabin In The Woods', which is a great homage! It looks very low budget, and I guess $350,000 in 1981 still wasn't a lot for a movie.
Some great suspenseful moments & music cues, but I can't say I found it that scary (lots to do with the dodgy makeup...) - I think it would only get an MA if it came out in 2013!. It does get you on Ash's side, although you're mostly just yelling "kill it"! Funny in parts & very entertaining.
