Review of The Evil Dead (1981) by Zachary S — 14 Jun 2013
Unlike the 2nd one, which is more comedy than horror, this is more horror with comedy elements...and I think it has just right amount. Despite its budget, Raimi and his crew did a great job of coming up with some pretty scary visuals and the claustrophobic feel of the whole thing really works in its advantage.
It's easy to see why this is a cult classic of the horror genre. It's just a really good movie.
