Can a campy horror film possibly work? Well in the case of Evil Dead, and boy does it work. Evil Dead is a classic film from Sam Raimi and is just beautiful to watch. The over the top blood and gore and the campy horror elements work so great.
The story features great horror elements and black humor to give off horror, suspense, thrills, horror, and be above all else enjoyable. The acting, writing, and direction is really nothing that special but manages to work decent enough.
Evil Dead will keep the laughs coming as blood and gore is thrown at you non-stop. The gore can be annoying at times, but the ridiculousness is enough to make Evil Dead a very enjoyable experience.
