Saw this on 17/9/15.
The biggest problem with American horror films is that the audience as well as critics expect them to have a mix of comedy in them, clearly two genres that don't mix well for people seriously watching films. Like all Sam Raimi horror films, Evil Dead is also way too over the top and worst of all, it's not at all scary. There are lots of jump scares in it that you even end up predicting them. The visual effects as well as the performances are completely condemnable.
