Review of The Evil Dead (1981) by Paul D — 25 May 2016
A classic campy horror film that shows the promise of Sam Raimi for becoming one of the most energetic and creative directors to make the leap into mainstream cinema. I just saw this movie again with a group of people who had never seen it, and even those that claimed to have hated it still seemed to have a great time watching it.
An excellent study in slowly building suspense.
