3rd review: Gets better with each viewing. Some of the cinematography and editing are stylish and innovative. The pacing is relentless. Really entertaining and over-the-top with some dark humor and scary images.

2nd review: So it's not as bad awful as I previously thought. It's actually got some great sound effects and creepy images. The characters are stupid, it's repetitive, and not even close to as good as Evil Dead II, but it's definitely fun.

1st review: I have respect and admiration for this film, mainly because of what Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell were able to accomplish at such a young age with such a low budget - it's certainly inspiring and influential, but it's also overrated. As for the movie itself, it's pretty awful technically. The acting is horrible and many of the effects are laughable. However, there are some funny bits, well-done shots, and it's pretty creative. It's even got some scary-looking shots (mixed with some terribly not).
