Review of The Evil Dead (1981) by Rocknblues 8 — 29 Nov 2013
I've been really into watching older movies that have been labeled as "classics" lately. Most of the time I end up liking them, but still sometimes feel they're a little overhyped or dated.
I just watched this for the first time (I know, oh em gee right?) and found it to be wonderfully campy and creative with its low budget and very practical visual style. It's easy to see why so many people say that Sam Raimi's "The Evil Dead" is a classic.
