Extremely gory for its day, and its still pretty gruesome by today's standards but that doesn't detract from the fact that this movie is both tense and funny at the same time. Not to mention the use of camera work and practical effects are impressive, especially with as low as a budget as it had.
Overall, a very good flick, but again, its gory.
