Made for about 47pence, the evidence of great ideas shines through the terrible acting and bad latex effects - the point of view camera, scorsese-like tracking and vertiginous dutch angles help grip. A rape scene with a tree, while clearly intended to be blackly comic, made me uneasy.
The fact it is then followed up by repeated violence aimed primarily at the female characters with no obvious subtext left me wondering about the morality of the films attitude to women.
