I saw THE EQUALIZER! Now I know a lot of you out there are wondering, "is this like the show THE EQUALIZER?" the answer is yessssss?... The Equalizer is about an aging man with a mysterious past named Robert McCall, played by Denzel Washington, and his simple routine based life he spends working his job at the hardware store in the day, reading books at night and cheerfully helping his neighbors wherever he can. On the surface, Robert seems like just your all around nice guy, that is until he meets a young girl, played by Chloe Moretz, who is being bullied by a crew of Russian mobsters and through his actions, he triggers a chain of events that will force him to revisit certain violent parts of his past that he had previously sworn not to repeat.

This movie is like the origin story for how the character from the 1980's television series came to be. No doubt Denzel Washington is fishing for a Taken/Jason Borne/Jack Reacher style film series and I have got to tell you, he just may get it. I really did end up digging the hell out of this movie. It's equal parts Man on Fire and Jack Reacher and the ending result is something you really enjoy because not only does Denzel get to be that super smart, charming and compassionate guy that you love to watch on film, but he also gets to be a bad-ass and do a lot of cool spy/action stuff.

Call it Man on Fire 2 if you want, that doesn't stop it from being cool as all get out! Denzel truly hits with this movie and he hits hard! The Equalizer gets a 4...out of 5.
