Review of The Equalizer (2014) by Brad Y — 21 Jan 2015
Well done. Loved the beginning. Not a shoot'em up film. Well not the whole film. Psychology plays a large part of the film. You're going to have to think and understand the person to appreciate the first half.
You'll also need an understanding of spec ops/covert ops to see why you are left on your own for the most part when you are acting outside of the government focus. If you know a special forces person, they can explain it.
I can see how a lot can be missed in this film. For me, very moving and impactful until the mass killings. Then it was just sit back and let the testosterone flow. Nothing wrong with that.
