Review of The Equalizer (2014) by Andy M — 09 Feb 2015
Methodical action sequences. Enticing villain. Dispassionate premise for the final showdown that makes the farewell of the film seem a touch campy.
If you've never seen a movie where the main character is a mysterious, yet capable individual whose nebulous/secret past is implicitly dubious due to the characters abundance of wasted potential demonstrated by giving the character a mundane day job, and then he goes into ass kicking mode for a helpless female who has been hardened by her adverse environment, then I highly suggest this one to start with.
