Review of The Equalizer (2014) by Nigel E — 09 Feb 2015
If VHS/DVD stores were still a thing, you'd walk down a very long aisle before getting to a hefty set of shelves which fell under the category, Denzel Washington Movies. In that, he plays a stoic, tough yet flawed, loner who despite his struggles, has a heart of gold and perhaps kicks a few heads in along the way.
I thought this was actually a pretty ok film - minus the unnecessary tidy ending with Chloe Moretz's hooker and the clumsy "can you help" email. Martin Csokas was chillingly evil - a Bond villain in the making.
