Review of The Equalizer (2014) by Jake A — 01 Mar 2015
As much as I enjoy seeing Denzel Washington being smooth as he takes out bad guys, the film itself decided to pace itself before it wanted to show the action. But even though the action in this film is way above average, in between every punch and every gun shot, we get scenes of over the top evil characters, and Denzel Washington's character sitting with remorse about his past as he tries to avenge a young girl he hardly knows, sounds a little like the plot of "Man on Fire" minus a crying Dakota Fanning.
But despite it not being an amazing film, I still believe it is one people should at least sit down and watch with your friends, as you might just chat in between the dialogue and pay attention as soon as someone starts firing a gun.
