Review of The Equalizer (2014) by Mark James A — 05 Mar 2015
Stylized action sequences and a gaze to Denzel Washington's hypnotic stare pretty much sums up what made this film refreshing. And it was neatly executed, overcoming the exhausting familiarity of its basic elements.
This is probably the only action film where you'll feel more worry for its villains than for its rather disciplined, justice-seeking hero. It's that cool. It's a violently rhythmic action thriller without the reprehension.
