Review of The Equalizer (2014) by Richard S — 16 Mar 2015
This was an awesome revenge movie with Denzel Washington in Man on Fire mode. I'd say this is the more restrained and subtle of the 2 movies though with the action quick, slick and deadly (rather than over the top action).
It's probably one of the darkest roles Denzel has taken on as his character abandons his life hiding away in the background to bring back the man he once was, someone who is cold and calculating to do what needs to be done when there are bad guys in his way! Well worth seeing for a decent revenge thriller.
