Review of The Equalizer (2014) by Ameen K — 23 Mar 2015
I loved this movie a lot. Denzel Washington is great in everything but in this, he gets to show what a true, genuine badass he is. He isn't ballsy like Liam Neeson who go's out gun blazing, he takes his time and thinks it out before he acts. The violence in this movie is really bloody and a lot of fun. The last 45 minutes of the movie turn into a violent home alone type movie in a Home Depot. I loved this movie when I saw it in the theaters, the villain is a bit cliched but it makes up for that in the long run. I'm so happy they went with the.R rating for this movie because it could've easily been stamped with a PG-13 rating. This movie is really good, I'll even go as far as to say this should be watched in theaters.
