Review of The Equalizer (2014) by Brett G — 13 Jul 2015
Nothing groundbreaking here (we've seen this plot structure before plenty of times, most recently in the Taken series), but a thoroughly enjoyable ride, with slick direction and photography in the style of a high end music video.
Obviously Washington is great, that's a given - but he's given a firm run for his money by the lesser known Marton Csokas, who is superb as the Russian Mob's chief fixer - a perfect blend of intellect and savagery.
Oh and if you like Dan Bilzerian, he's in this. Or if you hate him, he's given a slow and torturous death ;).
