Review of The Equalizer (2014) by Sean G — 28 Oct 2016
Director Antoine Fuqua is a high end hack. He can point and camera and make it look fantastic but I find that his storytelling is always lacking. I cannot for the life of me understand his status in Hollywood.
His rise was caused by Training Day, a highly overrated film that is given praise and awards because of Denzel Washington's overacting. I love Denzel but feel that I have yet to see him as the magnificent actor we are told he is.
