Review of The Equalizer 2 (2018) by Russ L — 07 Dec 2018
Denzel is the unassuming grandpa who has a tendency for vigilantism and extreme revenge.
He gives you an option for forgiveness, but typically resorts to killing all your buddies before that happens.
The creativity employed by Denzel is a bit contrived sometimes, cheaply extending his maverick ideas from the first film.
But he gets the job done, and without any nonsensical last-minute moralization (from the bad guys either).
Furthermore, the bad guys are bad (with a slight twist of good in the middle of the film) and with some pointless side-plots (like the old dude) to somehow justify Denzel's extremely gory murders.
Overall, a good movie, although sometimes a bit slow.
