Review of The Equalizer 2 (2018) by Giorgio G — 08 Sep 2018
Well, if you like a soup mix of old Bronson/Norris/Seagal vengeance movies, mixed up with scenes stolen from other movies like "Hurricane heist", this movie might be for you. It isn't all that bad, but unfortunately there is never ever any tension being build up.
At least it stays away from spraying around 2 million bullets flying through the air in every direction without ever hitting Denzel, like in the first edition of this flick (which was utter crap). This one is a bit more down to earth, showing the friendly quiet neighborhood guy who helps everybody, mixed in with the social attention of bettering characters and the lives of everybody in poor bad neighborhoods.
All in all it's watchable, but one can surely wait for it to pop up on cable or TV later on this year or decade as you won't miss much. 4 out of 10 points.
