Review of The Equalizer 2 (2018) by Paul L — 25 Jul 2018
There was a moment, just after the tacked-on feeling cold open, when it looked like Equalizer 2 could be an interesting film. This had the protagonist, McCall, as a Lyft driver, and righting wrongs done to various passengers.
Instead, the filmmakers decided to build an unnecessary back story for the character. This results in a long, boring movie, with too many sub-plots, not enough action, and a very disappointing ending.
