Review of The English Patient (1996) by Codrutz — 23 Jun 2009
Wow. This was absolutelly wonderful. This movie presents a mix of four intriguing stories, genuin combined, made to reveal a beautiful and still impossible love story for which had to be made lots of sacrifices. It was a touching story, a unique one, that thrilled every viewer and made him to feel the movie to its very end. Yes I know, it was long, but not long enough to even think of getting bored. This beautiful flick kept me there, waiting to discover more and more about that amazing love.
The playing was absolutely wonderful, yet again not a spectacular cast, excepting maybe Ralph Fiennes who made the role of his life. If I think it through, he could have played only half of the movie and for that poor patient to bring some other actor and to forgive Ralph of no more trouble. I mean, they changed him so much that I couldn't have guessed that he is actually playing the english patient or not. Even though some of you found it long, or even boring, I myself will gladly see this one again if I would have the chance. It really worths a try, believe me! ;x.
