One of my all time favorites. This movie is dark, complex, haunting and incredibly moving. The characters are unforgettably compelling and the story just draws you in and sweeps you away to another time and place in the world where love conquered all and lasted literally until and beyond death.
A sprawling epic drama that will be a classic for years to come.
