Review of The English Patient (1996) by Ivan D — 29 May 2010
I don't know did I like it or not, or did it annoy me, it's one of those films. Yes I would not walk away from it, but little things bugged me, that I could not identify with Fiennes character. From a distance, perhaps he is not my ideal actor, his role in Shindler's List was made for him, but this one... not to me, I found him cold and wooden. Binoche was more at home than anyone else as I preferred here story more interesting than the 2 main characters, that's where I guess I got frustrated. One story too many.
