Review of The English Patient (1996) by Paul C — 02 Apr 2011
While the film is nicely made and one of those films considered to be a romantic epic, I found it overlong and a bit dull. The acting is fine, but the characters I found difficult to care about. Ralph Fiennes character for example comes off as a bit of a up himself arse most of the time, so I found it hard to care.
The more interesting characters were certainly the fringe ones.
