Review of The English Patient (1996) by Þórður B — 19 Dec 2013
The English Patient is long and ambitious but succeeds in most of it's attempts at creating a powerful love affair and capturing a time and place in the past and the story of it's characters. The film has some great acting from all involved and there are some big names here that create a believable and dramatic depiction of their characters but don't overstep their bounds and work well off one another.
The film really does suck you in and the long running time flies by once you are engaged within the story and it's characters.
